About us!
My name is Victoria Meyer. I started Marry Me In Indy! when my little boy was not yet a year old. I have two little boys and I was looking for a way to make money on a schedule open to being a full time mom and doing something I love. I LOVE LOVE! What is better then being a wedding officiant? Not much! To me, at least. As my sons grew I grew my business and now Marry Me In Indy! is busy! Thank you so much to all the wonderful couples who are enriching my life with their love and relationships. Thank you for allowing me into such an intimate part of your life.
I’ve gotten so busy I’ve expanded in several ways. The website is expanding! I’m pulling wedding ceremony ideas from the four corners of the world wide web and putting it together in a way that is pleasant to sit down and read. I’m trying to incorporate wedding music on each page to give you romantic music to listen to on each page as you browse and breaking up the pages with pictures so it’s easy on the eyes for you to read instead of endless lines of print. It’s a work in progress but I’m rather addicted to it. I've added so many types of ceremonies I'm also trying to bring in the information to buy what you need for the ceremonies. Unity candles, ropes and ribbons for hand fasting, Arras or coins for that ceremony. I'm improving my web skills as we speak so I'm looking to integrate everything. If you can't find it got to the Where Can I Buy That page.
I’m also expanding to WE - I’m adding more officiants. I’m very passionate about making sure you have the wedding ceremony you want so I don’t want to turn anyone away because I’m busy and I also want to give you options as to the officiant you feel most comfortable with. Either way, you meet your officiant from the beginning of the process and they are with you all the way. The associates work with me. They will be at our meetings if they can and officiate the wedding but I will help you with the ceremony planning. There are some great people that I know with full time jobs that love to marry people and they are great at it but it’s not their full time job. This is mine and I take responsibility for it. The last thing I want to do is say “we’ll send someone.” I want to work with you through the process as quick or long it may be to plan your ceremony. I want to be able to get back to you in real time and answer your questions. It’s important to me. If you choose Kim, you book directly with her and work with her from start to finish.
Mikka Mabius as an associate at Marry Me In Indy. I’m a mom so I meet people at school! I met Kim at my little guy’s pre-school and I met Mikka at my big guy’s school. Mikka has worked in Human Resources her entire career. She's the mom of two children. One daughter is a sophmore at Haddon High and another special guy who is very high functioning autistic. Mikka has great background dealing will all sorts of people. She has a wonderful, warm, loving presence that will make you feel immediately at ease. She is talented at handling just about any sort of situation eloquently. (That comes in handy at some weddings!) She is happy to officiate just about any sort of wedding. Her spiritual background is definitely Christian but is happy to perform civil unions and marriages of all kinds. She has literally gone from Catholic to Atheist and now refers to herself as a Christian.
Lesley Eberle is an Indiana Native who grew up Columbus. She graduated from IU Bloomington with a BA in Musical Theater. She is a supermom with 3 kids - a boy and 2 girls. She regularly attends football games with her son and has been a soccer coach at the Y. She runs her own daycare during the week and loves to play outside. She has a great knack for getting kids rid of their training wheels. She also enjoys community theater and is currently an audition coach. Leslie attends a local Fishers church and sings in the choir. She has a great deal of wedding experience having worked as a photographers assistant with Parker Portrait studios for several years. Leslie is open to everything and anything. She respects and supports personal choice in all things. She's very happy to join Marry Me In Indy as a wedding officiant. She joins us as an associate. When you book with Leslie you will meet with both her and Victoria and then then Victoria will work with you creating your perfect ceremony and answering your day to day questions. This is Victoria's full time job and her munchkin actually attends Leslie's daycare. Leslie will be front and center at your Wedding and rehearsal making sure everything goes smoothly.
Kim Stroup is happy to officiate any type of wedding. We really do pride ourselves in being open to all people at Marry Me In Indy! Kim’s spiritual background goes from being Baptized Mormon to Catholic and even Pagan. She adds a whole different dimension to our business. If you are looking for a period wedding she is GREAT at this!! Traditional handfastings. Kim performs all sorts of pagan ceremonies even beyond weddings. She's a great resource when looking for different ideas, incorporating all sorts of traditions. Kim has two little boys. She is retired from the Army after 21 years to make sure there is always someone home for the boys. She is married to an Army Col. who is deployed to Kuwait for way too many months with the Indiana National Guard. Kim lives in Woodruff place in a restored 1895 Victorian home. It’s a wonderful place for a little elopement! Keep Kim busy! It's hard without her hubby! Better to wallow in the blissful happiness of your wedding!
