The Ring Exchange
To me, there is nothing like the classic "With this ring, I, thee, wed." Unless of course, the couple getting married has never heard it before and they repeat after me and it comes out, "With this ring, I BE WED!" It's not proper English, but you certainly can't argue with it!!
Some couples will share their own personal vows as they exchange rings. Often, when I'm marrying a couple who doesn't speak English as a first language, I simply tell them to exchange rings and say what they would like to each other in their own language.
You don't have to say anything as you exchange rings, sometimes, with quick elopements, the couple is already wearing their rings. Here are some additional options to choose from to personalize your elopement ceremony.
