These are the details about my terms of service. I want everyone to know what they are agreeing to when booking my services. My goal is to be as straightforward as possible.

General Payment Information
- Indianapolis Wedding Officiant Services and Get Married Today in Indy! are part of Marry Me In Indy! LLC.
- Your payment will show up as Marry Me In Indy! LLC.
- Payments online are processed via Credit/Debit cards through Square. Cash payments are accepted for services in my office.
- Payments made in person or over the phone are processed through Square via Credit or Debit Card.
- NO CHECKS.
- Refunds are issued the same way the payment was made whenever possible and can take 7-10 days to post to your account.
- Marry Me In Indy! LLC does not assume any financial liability greater than the cost of services.

Booking and Payment Policy for Indy Civil Ceremony Services In our office
- You are booking a non-religious civil ceremony held in a business office.
- We are using my office to perform a professional service. That professional service is a legal marriage.
- My office is not a wedding venue. You are not renting the space. We are performing your civil ceremony in my office.
- I am providing a place to exchange vows surrounded by 0-8 witnesses.
- There is seating for 6 or 8 standing. That’s all the space will comfortable allow.
- There may be people working in surrounding offices while you are getting married.
- You must obtain your own marriage license in accordance with Indiana law and bring it with you.
- We will sign the license together and perform a wedding ceremony.
- The completed marriage license must be returned to the clerk that issued it within 30 days.
- If you book a service in the office of $150 or more and your marriage license was issued by the Marion County Clerk, I am happy to return the license for you and mail you two certified copies. I will provide you with a photograph of the certified copies and let you know when they are being mailed. I am not liable for errors cause by the USPS.
- If you book a $100 service or live in a different county, you are responsible for returning your own marriage license.
- A legal wedding ceremony can be either a quick “I do,” or an exchange of formal vows and rings. It is up to you.
- The office building is open Monday-Friday from 8:30-5. The building is locked at all other times.
- If you book an appointment outside of regular business hours, your entire party must arrive together because I need to let you in the building and use a key for the elevators.
- This service is limited to the couple and 8 witnesses.
- If you bring more than 8 witnesses, you have the option to get married outside on Monument Circle - weather permitting. Each of your children count as a guest unless they are literally a baby in someone’s arms. No more than 8 people plus the couple being married will be allowed in my office.
- I do not have a changing area. You must come dressed for your wedding. The public bathrooms are extremely small. There is no handicapped restroom on my floor and my floor is the only one I have access to during non-business hours.
- Please do not bring alcohol or food. Please don’t bring a cake - even a small one - or champagne.
- Please do not make me ruin your wedding day by having to say no - even when you knew ahead of time I already did.
- Payment is due when you book your appointment. You do not have an appointment if you have not paid in full.
- Appointments are 30 minutes long. It takes about 20 minutes for a full civil ceremony service. Less if you just need a signature.
- If you arrive late, you can still be legally married but may not have time for more than just a basic exchange of vows.
- If you are late and miss your appointment, there are no refunds.
- 60 minute appointments are available if you already know you and your witnesses have a tendency to run late.
- I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not follow my policies. If you read these policies after you book your appointment, you can cancel within 24 hours for a full refund.
- Full refunds are available if canceled within 24 hours from the time of booking - as in, you changed your mind immediately after booking.
- You can reschedule to another date one time within 90 days from the original date you booked without incurring an additional fee. You must reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. This means, if you book on January 1st, you have until March 31st to get married. It does not extend the time frame.
- After the initial 24 hours, payments are non-refundable.
- It is always my intention to fulfill my commitments to all the couples that choose me to marry them. My Civil Ceremony Services are considered a last-minute appointment - not a "wedding" planned months and years in advance. I only allow these services to be booked up to 90 days in advance to assure you, to the best of my ability, that I am available the day you want to get married. If there is an emergency and I am unable to marry you, I will let you know immediately and either try to re-schedule your appointment or refund your payment in full. An "Emergency" is a legitimate illness or injury, mandatory quarantine, or a family related emergency.
- If Victoria Meyer is unable to perform your Civil Ceremony, Peter Meyer may perform your ceremony in her place.
- Marry Me In Indy! LLC is not financially liable for any more than the fee you have already paid.
Booking Policy for Mobile Civil Ceremony Services
- Payment is due at time of booking. Refunds are available up to 24 hours from booking. After 24 hours you may reschedule up to 60 days from the initial time of booking. If you book March 1st, you have until May 31st to get married. You must reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
- Appointments can be booked up to 60 days in advance
- This is a very simple 30 minute ceremony service. I will arrive at your location, sign your marriage license, perform a quick ceremony and leave. It generally takes about 10 minutes.
- Your "location" is generally your home, office, hospital room, or another place we can meet so sign the license. This is not a formal wedding. It's a legal service.
- You are allowed to have people with you to watch you get married but this is still a very quick, simple, ceremony. I'm not going to wait for people to arrive. All that needs to be done is sign the license and a quick "I do." If you want a wedding ceremony with guests, please book the $150 appointment. That appointment has me arriving 15 minutes early and gives you an hour to get married.
- If your marriage license was issued in Marion County, I will return the marriage license for you in person and mail you two certified copies. You are welcome to return the license yourself. If your license was issued in another county, you will need to return the license yourself within 30 days.
- This service is provided by Victoria Meyer or Peter Meyer if Victoria is not available.
The policies stated below are for formal wedding services that do not take place in my office.
- $150 Formal Elopement/Small Weddings - payment is due in full when booking. If you cancel within 24 hours of booking I will refund your payment in full. After 24 hours, there is a $50 cancellation fee, meaning I will refund $100. If you book your appointment more than 30 days in advance, you must cancel more than 30 days in advance to receive any refund. If you book your appointment less than 30 days in advance and you give 24 hours notice, I will refund $100. Please keep in mind we schedule our lives around your appointment.
- For services costing $350 or less, payment is due in full at the time of booking.
- $250 Formal Wedding Appointments - Payment is due in full when booking. If you cancel more than 30 days before your wedding, I will refund $150. I keep $100 to cover the cost of holding your date and time and the administrative time communicating and preparing for your wedding.
- $400 Formal Wedding Packages - I require a $150 non-refundable down payment to save your date and time and cover administrative time communicating and preparing for your wedding. The $250 Balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. You are welcome to pay the $250 balance early. If you cancel more than 30 days before your wedding day, the $250 balance is refundable.
- $500 Formal Wedding Packages - I require a $150 non-refundable retainer to save your date and time and cover the administrative time communicating and preparing for your wedding. The $350 Balance is due 30 days before your wedding day. You are welcome to pay the $350 balance early. If you cancel more than 30 days before your wedding day, the $350 balance is refundable.
- In cases of Force Majeure - Such as fire, flood, tornado, or worldwide pandemic that forces the government to shut down or limit your wedding- I will do my very best to reschedule services when it is a more suitable time to do so, doing my best to work with your other vendors to find a date and time that works best for most. I go forward with the assumption that you still intend to be legally married and that I am the person you hired to legally marry you. Legal marriages can happen without guests or a reception. If you choose to no longer utilize the agreed-upon services - be they legal or to perform a formal ceremony if you are already legally married - you forfeit any payment already made.
