What words speak to you?
I offer a wide selection of shorter elopement ceremonies for couples to choose from. If you book a small wedding or elopement you are welcome to choose one of these shorter ceremony scripts and write your own personal vows. You are welcome to choose different vows, ring meanings and ring exchanges from my selections. You can say, "We want Elopement Ceremony 8 but with Elopement Vow Option 5.
You are also welcome to provide me with a short ceremony you would like me to perform. Some of my most popular options have come from couples who already knew the ceremony they wanted! Please just give me enough time to practice the ceremony a few times. Sometimes couples think that printing it out and giving it to me at their wedding is the best option. It's NOT! You can email it to me at victorialmeyer@gmail.com. I'll have it on my ipad to read at your ceremony so everything is paper-free and hopefully the ceremony is performed the way you envision it.
Personal Preferences
Please let me know if you have preferred pronouns.
Included in these preferences may be "spouse" or "partner" instead of husband and wife.
If you cultural tradition excludes kissing at the end of your ceremony, please let us know. We want you to be comfortable!
A Personalized Ceremony Script
Many wedding officiants offer a "personalized ceremony script," with every package. I've always thought that offering ceremony script options to choose from is a personalized ceremony. There is another level to this but it is usually more popular with formal wedding ceremonies.
I used to personalize every ceremony for each couple. As part of this process, I would send couples a bunch of options to choose from based on our conversations. As my collection of wedding ceremony options grew, I noticed most couples were choosing the same ceremony over and over again. At that point, it made sense to me to simply publish the options for everyone to read and allow couples to choose their own ceremonies without the "middle man."
If you would like your personal love story written into your ceremony or a completely unique ceremony written for you, that required more time and effort on both of our parts.
To personalize a ceremony, I send you a list of questions to answer, or we have a zoom call to discuss what it is you want and are looking for in your ceremony. Then I take that information and write a ceremony script for you. You then help me edit the ceremony to your liking.
Many smaller weddings are planned more last minute and taking the time to do this isn't a high priority. If it's something you would like, I'm happy to work with you. There is an additional fee of $50 for the service.
