10/31/2025 Christian Wedding Ceremony Script 4Christian Wedding Ceremony Script 4 This is Kerrigan and Joey's Wedding Ceremony Script. They went through the website, pulled out what they liked, and put it together. I think it's a great option for a Christian ceremony without being too religious. Unplugged Ceremony
Family, friends, honored guests, on behalf of Name and Name, I would like to warmly welcome you to the celebration of their marriage. They wish to express their gratitude to each of you who has chosen to be here today. During the ceremony this afternoon, we respectfully request that you silence and put away all cell phones and cameras so we can all be fully present in this moment. Thank you! Let us begin… Welcome Welcome to this celebration of love and the blessing of the new life being joined together by the marriage of Name and Name. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate an act of deep love. Joseph and Kerrigan, in their devotion, respect, and love for each other, wish to unite in marriage and to dedicate themselves to each other’s happiness and well-being as life partners. Although this is their day, it is also a tribute to all of you. Knowing you and interacting with you has helped to make them who they needed to be to find each other. They would like to thank you all for that. You all hold a place in their hearts reserved for those that they have chosen to call Family and Friends, and they are deeply grateful for each and every one of you here today. Opening Prayer Name and Name have come to dedicate themselves to God and to each other, and with His eternal help, to fashion their house into a home, their family into a unity of His Kingdom, and to achieve within their lives a hint of eternity. The two of them have come to publicly proclaim their love and devotion through holy marriage. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we invite you here today as we celebrate the joining of Name and Name in Marriage. We acknowledge and praise you as the creator and source of unconditional and unending love. We pray that your loving spirit be poured over this wedding ceremony today. As Joseph and Kerrigan make their vows, promising their unconditional love and faithfulness to each other, may they be reminded, just as your love is poured anew over each of our lives every day, their love for each other is also continually renewed and strengthened daily. As all of us here witness this joyous and sacred act of marriage, may each of us be encouraged in our own relationships, growing ever closer to you, and to each other, cherishing one another and the special love and friendships we share. As we pray for those here today, we also remember those who could not be here today. We know we are all together in spirit, eternally connected through your perfect love. Amen. Moment of Silence This day will be filled with love and joy and laughter and will pass more quickly than can be imagined. The couple has requested a brief pause to reflect and absorb this moment in their lives; to look, listen, and feel; to fix these sensations in their memories for years to come. Let’s also take this moment to remember those who are not here with us today. Those who were unable to be here and those who have gone on to greater things. We know they are here with us in spirit. Words about Love and Marriage As Nane and Name are united in marriage today, they are taking the first step of their new beginning, their new life together. The ability and desire for one human being to love another is perhaps the most precious and fulfilling gift that has been entrusted to us. It is an all-consuming task, a lifelong endeavor — the journey we’ve been preparing for all of our lives. Loving someone is a reason to stretch beyond our limits, to become more for the sake of the other. It is to look into the soul of your beloved and accept what you see. Loving is the ultimate commitment, which challenges humans to become all that we are meant to be. As they join in marriage today, these two are announcing to the world that they are welcoming that challenge. Only once in your lifetime, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with a soul, and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that may never come true, goals that were never achieved, and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. They are not embarrassed to cry with you or laugh. They build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special. There is a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself because they love you for all you are. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, and you are quite content. Things that never interested you before become fascinating. You open your heart and experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to feel true pleasure, and it’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting, and worthwhile. Your only hope and security are in knowing that they are part of your life. Readings Declaration of Intent Name and name - You fell in love by chance, but you're here today because you're making a choice. You both are choosing each other. You've chosen to be with someone who enhances you, who makes you think, makes you smile, and makes every day brighter. You're about to make promises to each other that you intend to keep. You're going to vow to take care of each other, stand up for one another, and find happiness in each other. There's a simple premise to each of these promises: you're vowing to be there. You're teaming up and saying to the other, "Every experience I am going to have, I want you to be a part of." Now, I have questions for you both. Name, will you keep Name as your partner, favorite person, and best friend for life - to live together, play together, and laugh together? To respect her, be proud of her, and find new reasons to love her every day? To always give her your unconditional love, unwavering support, and, above all else, the freedom to be herself? To build with her a life that is full of love, laughter, happiness, commitment, respect, and growth? Name: I will. Name, will you keep Name as your partner, favorite person, and best friend for life - to live together, play together, and laugh together? To respect him, be proud of him, and find new reasons to love him every day? To always give him your unconditional love, unwavering support, and, above all else, the freedom to be himself? To build with him a life that is full of love, laughter, happiness, commitment, respect, and growth? Name: I will. Vows You now have vows you have written for each other. Ring blessing/Exchange May we have the rings, please? The circle has long been a symbol of God. Without beginning or end and with no point of weakness, the circle is a reminder of the eternal quality of God and of unending strength. Let the seamless circle of these rings become the symbol of your endless love. Your wedding rings are most special because they say that even in your uniqueness, you have chosen to be bonded, to allow the presence of another human being to enhance who you are. Name, as you place the ring on Name’s finger, please repeat after me: I, Name, take you, Name, to be my wife, and these things I promise you: I will be faithful to you, and honest with you; I will respect, trust, help, and care for you; I will share my life with you; I will forgive you, as we have been forgiven; and I will try with you, to better understand ourselves, the world, and God; through the best and worst of what is to come, and as long as we live. Name, as you place the ring on Name’s finger, please repeat after me: I, Name, take you, Name, to be my husband, and these things I promise you: I will be faithful to you, and honest with you; I will respect, trust, help, and care for you; I will share my life with you; I will forgive you, as we have been forgiven; and I will try with you, to better understand ourselves, the world, and God; through the best, and worst, of what is to come, and as long as we live. Final Christian Blessing Let us pray. God, we ask for your blessings upon Name and Name, as we celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives. Grant them happiness and contentment as they establish their new home, create a new family, and explore the depths of their love for one another and for you. Bless their families and friends and the relationships that have supported, strengthened, and sustained them throughout their lives. Bless their home as a place of love and of peace. And if times grow hard and tempers grow short, help them to look into their hearts and remember the love that brought them here today. Amen. Pronouncement The two of you came here today to affirm your love for one another and formally acknowledge that which your hearts already knew…that your lives are meant to be shared as one, that you are stronger together than you are apart, and that, for all the days yet to come, you wish to share together all life’s joys and challenges, committed one to the other. You have made this affirmation and commitment in the presence of the most important people in your lives. May you forever feel that the life you share is the life you have always wanted. May all your days be blessed with love and friendship. May each day and night of your lives be a new beginning. May your home be filled with laughter, warmth, and love. May you find in your life together peacefulness and beauty, challenge and satisfaction, humor and insight, healing and renewal, love and wisdom. May you always feel that what you have is enough. Name and Name, in the presence of our family and friends today, you have spoken the words which unite your lives. It is my great pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife. Name, you may now kiss the bride. Mr & Mrs. Name! Comments are closed.
